It's rare, Wilde's intelligence, his arrogance in writing, and his understanding of people.


It's humbling to think of what these people went through for the love of freedom and the fight against injustice. It is 2003. I find the book difficult to follow, and just can't get into it.

If this had been a novel, it would have been dismissed as unrealistic. His unique skills were eventually sought out by Nazi Germany, but Chapman’s loyalty to Britain knew no limits. I'm intrigued by the subject matter of this book, I'd never heard of Virginia Hall, and I was eager to learn more about her. It's no wonder this book has shot to the top of the bestseller lists.

Oh, they did add to the play, to show how snobby they were but really the main characters, Miss Hestor Worsley, Mrs. Arbuthnot, Lord Illingworth and Gerald Arbuthnot are the play. And that, consequently, whatever the world has treated seriously belongs to the comedy side of things.

Considering the difficulty of bringing this story out of the shadows, after many of it's key actors have left us, and old records lost or dispersed to various places, it must have been a huge a task to create this book.
